Addressing issues of gentrification as our city densifies is a challenge. In Villa Park, just west of Sun Valley the neighborhood is changing. This project is a mixed use development with commercial and community spaces on the ground floor and “missing middle” multi-unit housing above. The community plaza and rooftop zones connecting to the activated alleyway are meant to serve the needs and desires of the residents and surrounding public.
